VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Political Action is good for you! It cleanses the mind, exercises the body, and uplifts the spirit. (I mean the Democratic kind. I dunno ‘bout those other guys.) If you’re in a mind for a little Participatory Democracy this summer, click on Contact Us and let me know. We have lots to do between now and September 17, the Democratic Primary. Here’s what we need:

Doorbellers, ready to walk a precinct or two with Our Man. This is where the rubber meets the road in 37th District politics: actual face-to-face with the voters. This is addicting, it’s grassroots, it’s fun. Adam will talk politics with anyone, so sometimes you need to pull him by the sleeve and take him on to the next house.

Yard Sign Cowboys and Cowgirls, to place signs in the yards of folks who’ve kindly offered to display them. Note: we don’t put these signs anywhere else.

GOTV Phone-callers, which is a fancy way to say the folks who will make 50-60 calls the last weekend of the campaign (Sept. 14-16), reminding voters to vote on Tuesday, and of course to vote for Our Man.

An Office-Manager Type, who is willing to shape Our Man up. Seems he’s…uh…less than fully literate with a computer.
